When in Fürth, you cannot go wrong when visiting the Gustavstrasse. The whole street is lined with restaurants and bars, all of which offer tasty morsels.

In Fürth, traditional foods are a big hit. The classics are hearty pork roast, pork shoulder with dumplings, baked carp or “blue” trout. Fürth is also known for excellent green salads with plenty of garlic that is always harvested fresh.

Paying the “Kerwa” Queen a Visit

Fürth is home to the reigning Queen of the Bavarian “Kirchweih” beer festivals and Fürth’s “Michaelis-Kirchweih” street festival takes up a 3.5 km stretch of downtown streets.

The atmosphere at the festival is unique. There are rides, street vendors, tasty morsels, and the celebratory harvest festival parade. Aside from the festival vendors on the streets, you can also enjoy local fare at restaurants and inns throughout town. Regardless of where you go, you will find the festival brew everywhere alongside about 25 other varieties of beer – among them a resurrected local specialty beer called “Fürther Grüner Bier.”
